Pure Jerry: Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium showcases a quintessential Jerry Garcia/John Kahn acoustic duo performance from February 28, 1986. Living up to the series name, the duo's performance is exactly that--pure. With only Jerry's vocal and guitar and Kahn's bass, the two deliver an unadulterated and intimate performance within the walls of the 2,000-seat auditorium. The two-set performance features a quintessential setlist including storied Garcia/Hunter compositions like "Friend of the Devil," "Run for the Roses," "Ripple," "Bird Song" and "Dire Wolf" plus other favorites like "Deep Elem Blues," "Jack-a-Roe," and Bob Dylan's "When I Paint My Masterpiece."
Originally released in 2009 as a single CD, the 2xLP live set is pressed on gold vinyl in a limited edition of 7,500 for Record Store Day's 2023 Black Friday and features intricate new artwork created by Gabe Schneider (Sight Study).

Jerry is always Jerry. It is delightful to hear him in this setting. My only quibble is that the bass isn't prominent enough. Numerous times it sounds to me as though Jerry is playing by himself. I run my system flat in terms of bass and treble and don't typically have any problem. Obviously I adjusted my bass setting to remedy this, but I find/found it curious that I need to make that tweak.

Amazing , the packaging is unreal Artwork A+ To top it off the sound quality is really good for not being from a studio master. Truly feels like you're in the building with them. Doesn't disappoint at all and the price was nice!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
