Bare Bones: Volume I Master Takes is the debut volume in a new series exploring the foundation of David Grisman & Jerry Garcia's beloved studio recordings. This installment of duo recordings includes seven master takes released on Garcia/Grisman, Shady Grove, and Been All Around This World. The remaining 12 tracks, mostly from Not For Kids Only, were recorded as duos but were embellished with percussion, fiddle, autoharp, vocal harmonies, and yes, even insects while Jerry was out touring. They are presented here for the first time in their original unadorned state on 2xLPs housed in gatefold packaging with liner notes by David Grisman.

The changings of time and space between the two, it was just breathtaking to listen, and I did it in a silent room, and you could hear the crispness, just incredible, thank you. Always a ten.
