Sing Out! features a stellar line-up of acoustic performances by Bay Area folk heroes, including Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Country Joe McDonald, Kate Wolf, Rosalie Sorrels, and a percussion set by the Dead's drummers billed as the Rhythm Devils. The event was described by Wavy Gravy as a mini-Woodstock, and it is the last major show to be mixed and recorded by famed Grateful Dead soundman Owsley Stanley, aka Bear. It is also the final live recording he made of any members of the Grateful Dead.

Exquisite live sound quality; A 48-page booklet with essays penned by Grateful Dead scholars, Nicholas G. Meriwether and Jesse Jarnow; original artwork by Grammy Award-winner Susan Archie; new interviews with the friends and family of this spectacular lineup; and never-before-seen photography.

36 tracks and more than 2.5 hours of music Rare treats for Deadheads include Jerry and Bobby playing one of the only acoustic performances of Buddy Holly's "Oh Boy!" and a singular rendition of "Friend of the Devil" for the first time in an acoustic set since 1970.

though it took some time, customers service really did their best to satisfy this customer. i was truly impressed overall and thanks all involved very much !! i only wish there were more and more releases like "Sing Out" regardless of technical flaws. seriously, technical flaws are simply the nature of the live beast and is what it is and is absolutely better than not having anything at all !!! i wish everyone well

This is an amazing set of acoustic music. Yes, they've played these songs acoustically in the past (minus "Oh Boy" up until this point) but the playing is superb! It's amlost as if Bob & Jer were basking in their success of Reckoning?!? I say this because the versions of each song here are all incredible. It was as though they showed up on a mission this night in 1981. #LongLiveGratefulDead

Sounds a lot better than my cassette audio I recorded at the show. Bear captured the sound of the High School Auditorium without digital enhancement. Kate Wolf's beautiful voice came through, reminding us of the great loss of her early passing.
